Amr Mohammed Taher is the President of BT Applied Technology Company (BTAT). Prior to that, he worked in Saudi Aramco company from 1990 to 1992, after which he moved to Saudi Binladin Company – Operation & Maintenance Division until the year 2002, where he established his information technology career and moved up in ranks, reaching the post of IT Director. Finally, he established BT Applied Technology Company, where he still runs the company in the capacity of its President. BTAT prides itself upon being one of the pioneer Saudi companies in the field of intelligent buildings within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region. The company specializes in the design, development, implementation, and operation of advanced infrastructure solutions and integrated systems, both in the built and metropolitan environments. The flagship project that BTAT master planned under the leadership of Taher is the Development of King Abdulaziz Endowment Project in the holy city of Makkah, which is considered by many to be one of the most impressive mixed-use developments in the city of Makkah and in Saudi Arabia generally. The project is one of the first in the region to employ the intelligent building concept, and still holds the Middle East record for the largest converged information network in a closed complex. Some of the other mega intelligent developments attributed to BTAT as the master integrator are the Saudi Ministry of Interior Central Security Buildings, The New Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz international Airport in Jeddah, King Abdullah University for Science and Technology, and a number of other projects that have all been designed in accordance with the highest international standards and implemented utilizing the latest in intelligent buildings technologies. Amr Taher holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals, together with a number of highly specialized certifications in the information technology and business administration fields.
