Professor Kamarulazizi Ibrahim Ph.D
Nano Optoelectronic Research and Technology Laboratory

Graduated with B. Sc in Physics from Indiana University Bloomington, U.S.A, M. Sc in Applied Science from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, U.S.A; and PhD in Physics from Herriot Watt University, Riccarton, U.K. He is currently a Professor of Physics and founding Director of Centre for Education, Training and Research in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CETREE).A Program Chairman for the Nano Optoelectronic Research & Technology Laboratory (NOR).A Senate Member in University Sains Malaysia. A Commonwealth & Fulbright Fellow. A certified Energy Manager. He is actively engaged in research on semiconductor materials and devices fabrication process and solar energy. A recipient of top down IRPA research award valued at RM24 million on ‘Blue Light Emitting Devices’. He has taught semiconductor device and fabrication process courses for the last twenty-one years at USM. Listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. A former council member of Malaysia Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS), a committee member of Malaysian Institute of Energy (Intem) and a member of energy working group of National Council for Scientific Research and Development (NCSRD) or. Represented Malaysia in G–15 Solar Energy Experts meetings and the World Solar Summit. He is also a member of the technical committee of Science-fund and Technical-fund of Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, Malaysia (MOSTI). Have written more than 25 books on renewable energy and energy efficiency and published more than 200 papers in local and international journals.
