Charlie Kindel
After graduating from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Systems Engineering, Software Option, he joined Microsoft in 1990. His first 9 years at Microsoft were spent focused on delivering technologies and products to developer and IT professional customers. In 1999 Charlie changed his focus to consumers. His engineering teams were responsible for the networking features of consumer versions of Windows from Windows ME to Windows XP. Charlie went on to build several incubation teams focused on consumer home networking and entertainment products. Charlie helped found the e-Home Division and drove the creation of Windows Media Center and Windows Media Center Extenders.
From 2002 to 2004 Charlie was the Executive Technical Assistant to Sr. Vice President Bob Muglia. In this role Charlie drove technical and business alignment for Microsoft’s enterprise storage, management, server products for the Server and Tools Division.
